The presenter will discuss the development and testing of an integrated treatment for chronic pain and OUD involving opioid agonist treatment and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). The presenter will then review findings from studies on training addiction counselors to assess and address chronic pain using a brief psychosocial intervention and dismantling key elements of CBT so that they can be provided in drop-in groups.
