Dustin Mets studied communications and graduated Cum Laude from Ohio University. Dustin then attended the University of Dayton School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. Dustin practiced law for 10 years before joining the executive leadership team of the Columbus-based Behavioral Health Non-Profit CompDrug in 2008. During his high school years, Dustin was an active participant in one of CompDrug’s prevention programs, Youth to Youth. He credits that participation for his success over the years. In 2011, he became the CEO of CompDrug.
In 2018, CompDrug was identified as one of the top-five Nonprofits to Watch by the Columbus Foundation. Dustin has served on multiple non-profit boards and was one of the originators of the Ohio Association Treatment of Opioid Dependence (OATOD). Most recently Dustin has served as a Trustee of the Ohio Council of Behavioral Health and Family Service Providers (Ohio Council) from 2017 to 2022. Since 2012 Dustin has served as a member of the Steering Committee of the Provider Leadership Association of Mental Health and AOD Providers of Franklin County (PLA). Dustin was invited and is currently serving as a member of both the Stakeholders’ Advisory Committee for Ohio’s Medicaid SUD 1115 Demonstration Waiver and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction’s 340 Review Stakeholder Workgroup. Dustin has also served on several Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Panels.
Dustin loves electronics, tinkering, 3d design, 3d printing, and anything on two wheels.
