For those who were in attendance, we hope these photos will  provide some lasting memories, and for those who could not get to Baltimore, they will serve as a prelude to what can be expected in anticipation of our next conference, which will convene at the New York Marriott Marquis from March 10 – 14, 2018.

These photos are the compilation of events that took place at the start of the AATOD Conference. We opened the conference with 2 days of pre-conference sessions including the Clinicians Course, an open AATOD Board Meeting, the Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall and much more.
Opening Plenary
The Opening Plenary Session reviewed AATOD’s projects and keynote efforts in Maryland and across the globe.
During this plenary we heard from different perspectives, each showing how engagement and recovery changes patients’ lives, strengthens families and supports communities.
The Awards Program is the centerpiece of our Conference, a moving tribute to those individuals who have been nominated and selected by their peers for extraordinary service in the opioid treatment community. These successful Award recipients have devoted themselves to improving the lives of patients in our treatment system. The recipients of the following awards were honored: Nyswander/Dole Awards, Friend of the Field Award and the Richard Lane/Robert Holden Patient Advocacy Award.
Closing Plenary
The Closing Plenary Session featured two major keynote addresses that could not be missed for advocates, stakeholders, providers, and patients. Mr. Chuck Rosenberg, the Acting Administrator of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, discussed recent national trends in drug seizures, and ways that the DEA is coordinating efforts to address the opioid crisis, including criminal justice, treatment, and regulatory systems.  As Director of National Drug Control Policy, Mr. Botticelli led the Obama Administration’s drug policy efforts, which are based on a balanced public health and public safety approach.
Around and Throughout the Conference
These photos were taken during the various Conference sessions, Exhibit Hall activities such as the Poster presentations/networking event and throughout the conference registration area.
