Michelle Lofwall, MD, Association Professor of Behavioral Science and Psychiatry, is the medical director of the First Bridge outpatient opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment clinic and Bell Alcohol and Addictions Chair at the University of Kentucky. Her clinical research has been funded by NIDA and industry focusing on medications development and improving OUD treatment. She was as an expert panel member on SAMHSA’s newly published Substance Treatment Improvement Protocol (TIP 63) for Medication Treatment of OUD, a board member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, an invited speaker to the National Academy of Medicine and recipient of several medical student teaching and mentorship awards.
