This event is an interactive participant discussion regarding image concerns and stigma relating to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). The focus is on identifying sources of stigma from both within and outside the behavioral healthcare field, its effect on patients and the field, and successes participants have had addressing and reducing stigma and improving community perception of MAT. The goal is to share ideas, successes, and challenges participants have experiences confronting this barrier to treatment and recovery.
