In recent years, healthcare providers that offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) have sought to identify methods to improve treatment outcomes. One area that has received considerable attention is patient retention. Studies in this area typically analyze patient records to explain factors linked to retention. Less frequently have studies focused on examining methods to increase retention in MAT. Moreover, seldom have research findings translated to clinical practice. The current presentation will discuss several strategies to increase patient retention in MAT.
Learning Objectives:
- Upon completion, participants will be able to identify several effective strategies to improve retention in MAT.
- Upon completion, participants will be able to develop strategies to improve treatment services.
- Upon completion, participants will be able to interpret the feasibility of implementing strategies to increase retention in MAT.
