Erin LaCourt, LAC, ccdp, cadc, cadacII has been a 20+-year advocate of risk and harm reduction in both the medical and behavioral health domains. Ms. LaCourt has worked in the field of Medication Assisted Treatment for nearly fifteen years, spending that time at Victory Clinical Services II in South Bend, Indiana.
Ms. LaCourt is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. During her undergraduate time, Ms. LaCourt volunteered for AIDS Ministries/AIDS Assist in the Prevention and Education Department as a peer educator to return to area schools and Saint Mary’s / Notre Dame campuses to educate on health and safety in regards to HIV infection prevention. After graduation, she continued in HIV education and was trained as a pre- and post-test counselor, in addition to taking on the role as Coordinator of Public Relations and Grantwriting for the agency.
Ms. LaCourt has experience in the public sector, as well, with Michiana Area Council of Governments serving Elkhart, Marshall and St. Joseph Counties: grantwriting, fundraising and economic development planning for the local communities and counties – helping to stretch local resources. She also continued public health education efforts with air quality and bike/pedestrian issues and needs. Ms. LaCourt represented the region on the Indiana Association of Regional Councils which worked with the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration.
Ms. LaCourt has been a counselor-credentialed member of the Indiana Counselor Association for Alcohol and Drug Addiction since 2004 and has been a Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Indiana since 2011. She has served Victory Clinic in the capacities of Head Counselor and now Program Director. In addition, Ms. LaCourt currently serves as Vice-President of the statewide providers’ association with membership to AATOD.
